Some morning affirmations

Recently my friend Josh and I challenged each other to take a few days and put pen to paper on some mantras and/or affirmations that reflect how we want to start our day. A mindset for crushing life, as he would say. I shared mine with him last week, and I’ve loved having them as a part of my morning routine for the last few days. Here they are:

I am:

  • happy
  • loved
  • worthy of love
  • forever a student, never a finished product
  • So fucking tiny. Laughably so.

Today I will:

  • Choose happiness
  • Give Kayli the pure, unconditional, romantic love she deserves
  • Accept reality
  • Lean in to fear and adversity (“the obstacle is the way”)
  • Take action (“Make better decisions by making more of them”)
  • Look for the positive side in every perceived negative
  • Move forward (“Take small steps, complete them, ask what I can do better, lock in gains, grow exponentially”)
  • Ask questions
  • Think of something I can do to help every person I meet
  • Give people the benefit of the doubt
  • Have difficult conversations
  • Be vulnerable
